Fighting Back
We are very proud to have taken on this new and updated edition of Fighting Back, which tells the remarkable story of Georgina's near fatal accident at the age of sixteen when schooling one of her horses prior to her first international Three-Day Event, and her courageous recovery from paralysis and severe brain damage. She not only learnt to speak, write and walk again but has gone on to achieve further success in her riding career and as organiser of the three-day event at her home of Blarney Castle.
It is a moving and inspiring story of courage and determination of both Georgina and her family whose strength, patience and belief helped her to an almost miraculous recovery.
The postscript includes additions by Isabel Reid, former chef d'equipe and a selector for the British Junior European Championship Team; Mike Etherington-Smith, Olympic/international course designer; Kate Green, editor of Eventing magazine; David Evans, international course builder, and a 'last word' by Georgina herself.
