Capt Ronnie Wallace, who died early in 2002 in his 83rd year, was widely acknowledged throughout the foxhunting world as one of the greatest huntsmen and hound breeders of all time. His organisational skills in running a hunting country were equally remarkable. He died in his 58th season as a Master of Foxhounds.
